Just filling you in on the latest...
Monday I went to the doctor for the monthly bloodwork, ultrasound and to get a new prescription of fertility meds. However, while doing the ultrasound, the nurse saw one of the "left over" eggs from last month. She said that it was substantially larger than normal and called it a cyst. At that point treatment for this month was a little iffy. After looking at my bloodwork, they discovered that my estrogen levels were too high for treatments this month. So, instead of taking my fertility injections, they have me taking birth control pills. To be honest, I was really upset and kind of caught off guard with all of this information. They explained that the reason for the birth control is to supress hormone spikes and to hopefully dissolve that cyst. So, for a girl that hasn't taken any form of birth control in 2 1/2 years, this is weird.
I know that He is still in control and His timing is perfect. I've been praying that he will give me peace and understanding, especially since I am not the most patient person.
On a brighter note...
Mama was able to go with me to Shreveport. We were so excited to shop (and eat). We found a few deals, but not many. Isn't it funny how when you have money to shop you can't find anything you want?... But when you don't have extra money, you see tons of things that you would like to buy. That's about how our shopping trip went. We had our money but just couldn't really find much. So, when we got frustrated with shopping we ate. We knew we wanted ice cream and was able to find a Marble Slap. Thank goodness for Google Map on our phones. It was delish!
We left at about 6:00 that morning and didn't get home until about 8:45, so we definitely made a day out of it.
